Below lists some key concepts that will help in understanding how Instant Websites work
Site
A site is basically a website. It would normally be named using a DNS compatible name (e.g. www.glintech.com).
A space can have multiple sites configured. Each site, then has it's own Connection, Metadata and Look & Feel configuration associated to it.
Connection
A connection is where your site gets published. Instant Websites currently has four types of connection:

File System
AWS
Git
Site Generation
Complete Generation
The first time a site is published, you'll need to do a complete generation.
Incremental Generation
Some changes that don't affect menu items or trees of pages can do an incremental generation which is much faster than the complete generation.
