Using Slider Macro

Upon installation two macros will be defined:

  • Slider Container
  • Slider

A Slider can only be applied to a page when defined within a Slider Container. 

Adding the Slider Container to the page.

  1. From the editor tool-bar (page must be in Edit mode) select Insert more content > Other macros. Here the user can search and select from the list of installed macros by typing in ‘Slider’. 
  2. Select Slider Container.
  3. Complete the configurable properties - described below.
  4. Select Insert to add the Slider Container on the page.


Configuration

Slider Container macro comes with five configurable properties:

    • Max container width (px) sets the maximum width of the slider container in pixels. The default is set to 100% if left blank.
    • Auto Sliding checkbox allows automatic rotation of the slides. By default it is selected. Deselect to disable auto-rotation.
    • Delay between images (ms) defines the time spent on each slide before auto-rotation. Default is set to 5 seconds.
    • Arrow navigation checkbox enables manual navigation by the user. By default it is selected. Deselect to disable this feature.
    • Dot navigation checkbox enables manual navigation by clicking on dot icon. By default it is selected. Deselect to disable this feature.

Adding the Slider to the page.

  1. Ensure your cursor is within the Slider Container on the page.
  2. From the editor tool-bar select Insert more content > Other macros. Here the user can search and select from the list of installed macros by typing in ‘Slider’. 
  3. Select Slider.
  4. Complete the configurable properties - described below.
  5. Select Insert to add the Slider on the page.
  6. Repeat these steps to add more Slides.

Configuration

There are two properties for Slider macro:

    • Background Image is a mandatory property. 
      Select an Image by clicking on Insert image button > Upload files to upload a image. Background Images could be also selected from the attached images to the page and as an image link from the Web.
    • Slider Width property is used to set the width of the slide as a percentage of the container or in pixels. Default is set to 100% of the container.
